Pest-Away Australia evolved in 1999 after a need was identified for a diversified approach to minimising problems caused by pest birds in Australia.
Before deciding on a product range, Pest-Away Australia's original principals, David and Jean Brewer travelled to many regions of rural Australia and discussed pest bird problems with primary producers from all
fields, including grape growers, grain farmers, fruit and berry farmers, olive farmers and aquaculturists. Particularly valuable background information was gathered at Rural Field Days and Wine Industry Exhibitions throughout Eastern Australia, and from State Departments of Agriculture.
In recent years however, the focus is changing with just as much demand generated from the urban and industrial sectors. As a result, Pest-Away Australia has further developed under ownership with Trevor and Kumi McAndrew.
Trevor has a broad acre farm upbringing until military service with the RAAF expanded his skills into Aviation. All told, Trevor has 18 years of agricultural life, 9 years in electronics and 20 years as a Flight Engineer.
Kumi brings an international flavour to our Administration with language and her overseas connections.
Pest-Away Australia has access to consultants in the Agriculture, Aviation and Construction Industries.
